Flitterbug is an extremely talented mare that was showing to have a huge career in the barrel pen. Unfortunately her career was cut short due to EPM, but not before placing 1D at almost every race she was entered in as a futurity horse. She would have made her mark in the open and pro rodeo circuit as well if she had been given the chance. My Flittin Heart is a 3/4 sister to Hailey Kinsels Viva La Corona, who is a futurity and pro rodeo money earner. She's also a 3/4 sister to Scotias Flit Bar, who was the 1986 Fort Smith Derby Champion.

Flitterbug is sired by Heart Of The Cartel, who had a SI-87 earning $5,105, he was sired by Corona Cartel (SI-97 $557,142, progeny earnings of over $56M). Heart Of The Cartel's dam, My Streakin Heart, was sired by Streakin Six (SI-104 $473,937, progeny earnings of over $15M). Her dam, Keeper Of My Heart ,was sired by Raise Your Glass, who earned $81,222, and sired progeny earnings of over $16.2M.

Flitterbug's dam, Missflitbarbeggar, was a 1D barrel horse, and was sired by Flit Bar Beggar, sire of multiple 1D barrel horses. Flit Bar Beggar sired Flit Priss, who was the dam of Doda Flit "Radio", Carley Richardson's NFR horse. Flit Bar Beggar won $12,157 at the Barrel Futurities of America, as well as being an NRHA money-earner. Flit Bar Beggar was sired by Flit Bar, an NFR barrel horse producer, making both him and his son, Flit Bar Beggar, NFR barrel horse producers. Flit Bar Beggar's dam, Miss Showdown Lou, was a great-granddaughter of Wimpy, the first American Quarter Horse to be registered. She produced 5 performers. She was sired by Showdown Hoss, who produced AQHA champions in barrels, reining & cutting. Missflitbarbeggar's dam, Daddys Siemon, was sired by SIEMON JOE, who earned his performance ROM, was an AQHA champion, and producer of arena ROM offspring. He was sired by Leo San Simeon, who produced race ROM earners and AQHA champion offspring.
