Lisa Anderson is the CSR barrel horse trainer. Lisa was raised on a ranch in White Sulphur Springs, Montana. She is the daughter of the late Ralph and Helen Dupea. Lisa qualified for numerous amateur rodeo finals and PRCA Circuit Finals in three different circuits; Montana, Colombia River and Texas. Lisa has also qualified for the Dodge National Circuit Finals Rodeo while in the Montana Circuit. Lisa credits her dad for creating her passion for training horses. She once asked him before he passed, what he wanted her to do with her life. He said, “I want you to do what you love, that is to train horses.” Lisa treats every horse as an individual and trains with a vision of an equine partner for a life long career. Her goals are what is best for her equine partner, never to sacrifice their minds or physical ability. She feels most people try to make training too hard. The Tony Dungy approach is her mantra: “Champions are champions…not because they do anything extra ordinary…But because they do the ordinary things better than anyone else.” Lisa is not about a flash in the pan, but her goal is to establish a long solid life for every barrel horse sold by Copper Spring Ranch.
Lisa conducts Barrel Racing clinics at Copper Spring Ranch every March.Return to Team Section
