Copper Spring Ranch is a destination and a dream as pure as the Western ideal. Their vision combines exceptional bloodlines, top-notch trainers, rodeo competitors and a veterinary clinic, all at their world-class equestrian facility in Bozeman, Montana.
Karen and Klein Gilhousen started Copper Spring Ranch in 2004. The performance horse breeding/training facility started as a dream and a vision for their daughter, Aspen Gilhousen-Cok. The dream quickly became a reality as the Gilhousens built one of the most state of the art facilities for horses in the United States. Karen and Klein have brought in Brian and Lisa Anderson from Moore, TX to help manage the facility. Brian and Lisa may have made a name for themselves while in Texas but they both have home grown roots in Montana, Brian originally from Miles City, MT and Lisa from White Sulphur Springs, MT.
The Gilhousens and Andersons are working together to create a top notch quarter horse breeding program on the foothills of the Hyalite Mountain Range near Bozeman, Montana. Their Quarter Horse breeding program begins with the meticulous selection of bloodlines. They rely on today's top-performing stallions and foundation brood mares to produce the perfect progeny horses with a combination of speed, toughness and intelligence.
Their proven genetics show that Copper Spring Ranch horses will be ready for use in and out of the performance arena. And with their dedication to nurturing foals with gentle hands, you won't find young horses more eager to please. The training program is based on allowing the horses to reach their full potential. As two year olds the horses are put into the training barn of CSR trainer Josh Bilbrey. Josh works with the young horses on building a solid foundation before they are cross trained in the performance arena. Once the horses are ready, they move up into the training barn of Brian and Lisa Anderson. Here they are put into the disciplines that they are most suited for and trained with a high level of expertise. There are many amazing horses for sale at Copper Spring that are sure to make you a champion.
Copper Spring Ranch has also brought their own stallion into the performance horse world. Prime Talent si 107, by Corona Cartel out of Oh How You Shine, will stand the 2015 season at Copper Spring Ranch. A winner of $101,269 and 6 races, including the Streakin La Jolla Stakes, Manor Downs Handicap and Magnolia Stakes, the bay stallion was named the Texas Hi-Point Aged Stallion at the age of four. Prime Talent is the sire of over $1 million from his first 113 starters, with his top money earner being New Track Record Setter and multiple stakes winner Five Star Cartel si 114 (2012, $101,982).
